Hypnosis Show
Did you ever imagine that you would see Nick Wright play lead guitar for Aerosmith, or meet Angelina Jolie? Or see Kegan Zema serenade Jorge the goose? If you were at the Hypnosis show on Thursday night, you saw your friends and classmates do all of this and more, thanks to Pete Mamos.
Even if you were not on stage volunteering, everyone in the audience felt like they were a part of the show. Pete warmed everybody up with a few fun tricks, and during the entire show you couldn’t help being a little mesmerized yourself, it show was so infectious.
There weren’t any swinging pendulums involved, no swirling vortexes and I definitely didn’t hear anyone say “You’re getting very sleepy”. Instead, what Pete did was more like a meditation of the imagination, and it was up to you to believe in it or not. Some of the performances put on on-stage were so zany and out going that the participants did it on their own accord. For me, Kegan Zema and Abbi Shirk were the highlights of the show. They both went all out, and seemed to have the most conviction.
It was an extremely fun night, one that everyone could go home laughing about. Seeing classmates get up on stage and do these crazy things was hilarious, especially because, as Pete said, it was all up to them. Thanks Pete, and everyone who went to and was in the show; you guys did a great job!
